In Ireland at last. Ballycastle and the Harbour bar. And the friendliest locals yet!

We finally arrived at the northern tip of Ireland and the lovely village of Ballycastle. After a wee anchor dram to celebrate we explored our surroundings and sampled the local Guinness… Which was truly delightful. The next day was spent exploring the coast and visiting rope bridges, distilleries and the breathtaking Giants Causeway, which was really something special. That evening we met some very friendly locals who strongly suggested that we attend the local Harbour bar to sample some real Irish live music. We took them up on their kind suggestion and were not disappointed. The revelry lasted into the wee hours, including an impromptu performance of ‘Mustang Sally’ with full accompaniment by yours truly and a serenade ot two by our very own Barry. The talent in this wee place was truly outstanding and we could have stayed there all night. so we did. evening rolled on into the wee hours and after politely declining an offer to join the nationalist movement we stumbled back to the loving arms of our very own Rose-Marie.
