Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe is a beautiful island where we dropped by and spent moist of our time relaxing in the sun. Rosemarie behaved well and we enjoyed our short time there.

St.Lucia has strange customs so we decided to DooLittle (The Movie was filmed here)

Visitors disposed of, we sailed forth to Marigot Bay in Saint Lucia, a wonderful little bay where we had to take a buoy as we still had a busted windless to deal with. However, this didn’t stop us from enjoying a relaxing week, despite some costly customs ‘headaches’. No visitors meant we were back to our core crew and we enjoyed the less hectic pace enjoying the home of the Doctor Dolittle movie set and the lovely bars and restaurants. We also managed to catch a cricket match between the West Indies and England under 23s at the Daren Sammy cricket ground which was great fun. The atmosphere at the grounds was amazing and watching the England supporters celebrating their win on the day was a blast. We swam in the lovely Marigot Bay and Steven was very, very taken by the local punch. We made more new friends, flight attendant crews, dentists and of course sailors and sailorettes among them, all with a colourful story to tell. We left Marigot on the 8th March and had an easy sail to Rodney Bay where we performed some boat maintenance (it’s not all sundowners, sand and sea) and met a fellow feeling owner. after fuelling and watering Rosie we made the big push North for Martinique with the promise of fine wine, cheese and french hospitality on our minds. Ooh, la, la.
